Kabuli - Culinary Journey

Taftoon Presents ‘Kabuli’ – A Culinary Journey to 1960s Kabul

  • Event: Kabuli – An Ode to Afghanistan’s Golden Era
  • Location: Taftoon (BKC & Powai)
  • Date: 21st March to 20th April 2025

The menu revives soulful dishes like Maushawa, a nourishing lentil and yogurt soup; Boulanee, crisp flatbreads with spiced fillings; Afghani Mantu, delicate dumplings from the Silk Road; and Qorma-E-Olu Bokhara, a slow-cooked lamb dish with Persian flavors. Taftoon’s take on Kofte Chalou, served as Dahi Kofte, adds a creative twist to a classic.

“Our goal at Taftoon has always been to bring forgotten regional flavours back to life. Kabuli is our way of celebrating Afghanistan’s rich culinary, a time when food was more than just a meal; it was a reflection of history, culture and hospitality. Through this festival, we want our guests.

More than just a festival, Kabuli is a journey into the heart of Afghan hospitality.
